The idea of laying back.

Perhaps it's one of those misremembered internet tropes, but i remember coming across the idea of "Laying back" as an eastern philosophy being adopted by the youth as a philosophy of dealing with climate change.

Take a moment to ponder what that might mean.

Slow down for a moment and ask yourself, what are the most important things in my life?

If we lie back, we can enjoy a quiet moment of contemplation. Really, nothing is stopping us. perhaps it is only ourselves stopping us.

Let the thoughts float away. come back to picturing the things that are most important to you. what makes them the things that you value the most? how to they individually fit into your life? how do they fit into your life as a whole?

let go of where you are and take the moment. it is yours to seize. who are the people that you care about the most? Why have they attached themselves to you and to your life?

If we lie back, we can take the moment to breathe.

Sometimes we all need someone to stand in our path for just a moment and force us to slow down just a few steps. It's ok if it is a long walk across the room. Listen to the music. Listen to the birds sing. What is it that the important things in life mean to you? How do those things make you wish to be.

Lie back. take a moment. breathe.

Let the materialism go.

They aren't things you need.

Things are the least important things in your life. they are just things after all.

not every response needs to be an active response.

just breathe.

slow down when you walk across the room.
